Well I almost quit. Not that this was difficult to answer or anything but I just didn’t want to.

Saddest scene
I’m not one of those people that enjoys sadness. I don’t bask in my misery and I avoid shows that are considered nothing more than tearjerkers and heartbreakers.
I do understand however that in every life a little pain must fall. A truly well balanced story will include a bit of everything and Hunter x Hunter is no exception. The generally happy go lucky tone of the show is continuously tempered by difficult to watch moments or brutality and uncomfortable realities. There are a few scenes that are just heartbreaking but the saddest one is this:
No one can just pretend anymore. Gon and Killua are never going to be the same again. They know it, I know it, you know it and there’s really nothing left to be said.
If you’ll excuse me.
Aww man this scene and the final one between Gon and Neferpitou…
The moment i read the challenge that was the first thing that came to my mind!
right – It was the only answer I had from the very start
This is an outstanding performance by Han Megumi (Gon’s voice actress), intense and creepy. It really, really pays when you have someone who can carry the emotion. (This was a really hard watch; the delivery is just so spot on [not only Han Megumi, but especially her].)
I agree, the understated yet intensely emotional delivery really sold the scene. After all, nothing much actually happens yet it has a tremendous impact.

Oops, sorry for the double post.
don’t worry I seem to be having issues with my comments…
The scene was already pretty depressing despite the fact that I haven’t watched HxH yet.
And then I looked on TvTropes for more information and I felt even worse. This was brutal.
I know…..
