Here we are at the last episode of this season of Dr. Stone. And this one is really leaving me wanting more. Maybe a bit too much? We talk about it in more detail over on Crow’s World of Anime. You should go see what we have to say.
In the meantime, let’s see what the last episode of the season brought to us, visually!

I already did my little spiel about how Kohaku really looks the same and didn’t need a makeover in the first place. But I will say I like what they did with Ginko. Because he looks like himself and also perfectly fits the androgynous gamine look. It’s a believable makeover without turning it into some hideous punchline like certain other anime. I just appreciate the design effort put into it!

I really liked that shot of Kohaku just above the capsule as every hole starts to glow. I don’t know why but there’s something that reminds me of A Space Odyssey in that shot. It’s very pretty.
I have been a long-time fan of Byakuya’s character design but it baffles me that they went through all the trouble of adding in so many subtle and not so subtle physical similarities between Senku and Byakuya only to continually insist on the fact that they are not, in fact, physically related. I don’t know, maybe he’s his uncle but why hide it? So it’s a design choice I both appreciate and am baffled by!
On a more current note, they did a great job aging him, didn’t they?

Is it just me or does Mozu also remind you of Tsukasa. Maybe he’ll also be opened to get reasoned with!
