You know I try to answer tags in a reasonable time frame. I don’t always succeed but I do try. It always means a lot to me to get tagged by one of you, so when both super cool Nairne (I’m a bit intimidated, I admit) and super sweet Ryuji were kind enough to think of me for this really interesting tag going around, I really couldn’t resist.

super accurate depiction to how people react to my joy!

Now the original tag seems to have been created by The Awkward Book Blogger and challenged participants to make a post of one-sentence summaries and/or roasts of at least five books, but as these things go, it has evolved a bit. You see it seems Ryuji is not a huge reader and a self-proclaimed noob when it comes to manga. As such, he, Nairne and Auri cleverly decided to modify the tag a bit to include a few animes as well

Now contrary to popular belief, I can in fact read…I simply avoid it at all costs because it gives you wrinkles However, seeing as this tag has already been making the rounds of the bookish blogs out there, I figured I would stick to my wheelhouse and just go all out anime. Ok I added City because I love City.

In all honesty, I had to stop myself from going through my entire MAL list because this is so much fun!

You must get so many of these – do you read them all?????

Challenge as many or as little people as you want!

I will – you guys feel free to go back to books, or movies or games… philosophies…

Any Sports Anime

Our little underdog team practiced so hard and just to get eliminated in the last games of our first big tournament but that’s ok because we got stronger and now we’re heading to Nationals!

As for my one book: City

See, I told you it would be better when the dogs took over!

Of course, you now all realize how much fun these are to read (*cough**cough*) so go ahead and read Ryuji’s post and have a ball, then also Nairne’s post because it’s her usual brand of pure awesome. You know what, after that go ahead and read Chizue. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything these guys write.

This said, between them, they managed to nominate quite a few bloggers I would have chosen for this challenge. Nevertheless, I have been spoiled by a wealth of talented bloggers to choose from! I hope you all decide to play along as well!

Are you up to the Challenge???? I hope so since I love your posts!

And of course Shoka – what you think you’re off the hook just because everyone else tagged you already. Pffth!

I really can’t wait to read more of these, they always put a smile on my face!

  1. I definitely fell for this tag too! Ingenious and fun.
“Learning how to accept the terrifying beauty all around us.” THIS. <3 I will explore this terrifying beauty soon. LOL I planned to watch No Game No Life you know.. but that one liner made me do a double take.

And thanks Avery – really appreciate the mention. ^^

  2. I loved all your one-liners! Although I don’t watch many animes, I think I’ll add some of the ones you mentioned to my queue list 😁
(And yes, I try and read everyone’s attempt at this challenge. It’s fun to see what everyone comes up with 😊)

    1. I am impressed!!!! Not only reading but commenting, you are a role model! – (Is it the incest one that you’re adding to your list?)

  3. Congratulations! I love your one-line of Utena and this genuinely looks like so much fun to write, so thank you so much for tagging me <3 I'll definitely try my hand at this

  4. Just a random comment, I love your one-line for Natsume’s Book of Friends. I am absolutely adoring this anime, which I’m watching for the first time right now. (I’m on episode 36? and am super-psyched that are three more seasons after I finish this one.) I don’t want it to ever end. I might have to read the manga after I finish the series, because I’m not going to want to let it go. It’s every everything I adore: shounen friendships + slice-of-life + supernatural. I can see why you’re a fan.

    1. OOhhh YES – spreading the Natsume love has become one of my main purposes in life. I finished vol 6 of the manga this morning. So far it’s almost identical to the anime but there are added random stories (non Natsume stories) here and there. Despite that I still love it. I hope you get around to reviewing it eventually.

    1. I believe it might be the official tagline of that show…
I can’t wait to see what you come up with. No pressure but I bet it’s going to blow our minds!

  5. That one for No Game No Life 😂 Spot on Irina, your caption credentials definitely paid off here.

  6. This really is a fun tag to do!!! Really excited to put my hands on it so thank you for tagging me eheh
I will also have a line for Natsume, but it won’t be so inspiring and beatiful as yours ahah

  7. This was great, and I also find it hilariously fitting that the books about dogs are written by someone who goes by the name “Clifford.”😸

    1. Oh right there’s an american kid’s book about that. I never read it. Heinlein writes about cats a lot, I wonder if there’s a Bob the cat story out there somewhere…

            1. We all gots our strenghts Ply. Our boy Shoka is turning the other cheek and discovering his inner bliss now that he’s a monk after all…
              They grow up so fast!

  8. Thanks and congratulations!
I’ll definitely try my hand at this!
(You are 100% going to regret tagging me- I can’t make a joke to save my life!)
But I have seen a lot of anime and stuff… maybe I can recommend something good?
    Thanks again!

    1. I’ve always liked how detailed and expansive your posts are. You really explore every inch of your topics so I figured this would be something very different for your blog. It got me curious and I’m looking forward to seeing what you’ll do with it!

Leave me a comment and make my day!
