The title sort of says it all. This week’s Granbelm was really not what I thought it would be at all, and I am thrilled about that. I go into the details of why exactly that is over on Karandi’s blog. Here, I go over cute girl screencaps. Both have their merits!
By the way, that backpack scene was my favourite thing in the episode. It was just a great gag!
You know, turns out I quite like the cute designs in Granbelm. I mean, I’m not crazy about the mecha designs but we didn’t see any this week and the girls in normal clothes are indeed quite cute. I was surprised by how much I liked the visuals. I can’t say there’s anything special about any of it but it’s just nice.
Also, naked for no particular reason…. they didn’t dwell on it though.
I’m actually most fond of the antagonist’s character design. I must admit I don’t remember her name. She just seems to stand out. For instance, I instantly know that’s her eye and I’m not sure I could say that about anyone else, other than the two main characters.
Lilies, huh? I see you.
The first is in fact a fanservice shot the rest have a fisheye distortion and matched up to some magical exposition so there may be something there. You’re right, the bedhead is adorable!
I haven’t watched episode 2 yet, and not sure I will. I’ll hop over to Karandi’s and read your post for inspiration, soon. The reason I’m replying here, too, is because what I have to say is about two of the pictures:
The first is the fifth foto in the second column in the first batch, the second is the first one on the left column in the second batch, and the third one is the fourth on the right in the second batch. All those pictures have strange angles, and I’m not sure why. The first could be a point-of-view shot (it looks like pink-haired girl is lying on the floor), but the others? They all sort of look like mild fanservice shot, but my intuition is that something is off when I interpret them that way. I think I’ll have to see them in action. (I might watch the episode after all.)
I adore pinky’s bed head. It really is a pretty show, isn’t it?
