Anime Winter 2019 – Week 6 Roundup!

Soooooo….remember last week when I waited until last minute to put this post together and had to comb through the posts exhausted in the middle of the night, risking missing half of them, cause I’m not smurt? Yeah I did it again.

In my defense though, I went out drinking. OK! – defense made!

Ok, so I started the post and though, this is going to be easy, almost no Shield Hero, everyone is dropping episode reviews… then a few shows actually have way more reviews this week. Neverland is still going strong as ever. But then, the last part of the list thinned out once again.

I’m not sure what to make of it. But one thing I know for sure – super tire anime pic is still relevant this week! Hpe you guys find a few fun reviews. Singing off.

I'm much nicer than I seem, we should be friends!

From what little I’ve seen of Pastel Memories it’s… simply dull. I’d not be surprised if the few people still watching it had little to say. Wataten actually isn’t that bad. There’s a cute little story in there somewhere, but it’s buried under a layer of lolicon sleeze that can undermine the cuteness for some. It’s not like the style sexualises the little girls, actually; it’s more the big sisters reactions, and a constant string of innuendo with plausible deniability. It’s easy for me to ignore all this, so I’m watching it and having fun, but it’s no surprise if people stay away.

Also Domestic na Kanojo isn’t all that domestic, and it starts out awkward, and then, as incredible as it is, finds ways to make things more awkward. It should be impossible to get more awkward at this point, but I shouldn’t underestimate the show. The heart of the show is Rui. She’s great (and voiced by Uchida Maaya).

Also, it looks like you’re going to be busy with Boogiepop this week, as in addition to a regular episode, you get a longer one today, or so I heard.
