Hello All!
Are you excited about a new season of Demon Slayer? I thought the first episode was amazing! It looked great and it was just so much fun to watch!
Since I started up my collab reviews with Crow again, I figured I would also revive my gallery posts. Especially since, as I mentioned, Demon Slayer looked amazing!
I should warn you, this was a double episode, twice as long as the usual 20 minutes or so, and as such I have a lot of screencaps. I hope you liked them. But before we get to that, please go see my and Crow’s thoughts on this episode over at Crow’s World of Anime!

The episode started out in Muzan’s Infinity Castle and it looked amazing. You can’t tell from the screencaps but there was a whole lot of CG in these scenes. And in my opinion, it looked great! I have a feeling that people with motion sickness might have some trouble with them though!

So that guy is the same guy as the number 1 demon, right? I mean you can just see it!

It was great to see all the main characters again. These designs are so distinctive and fun. We could have used just a bit more Nezuko.

How old is Tanjiro anyways? Ok apparently he’s 13 at the beginning of the story and 15 at the end so now I,m uncomfortable!

I wonder about the privacy at that hot spring.
I’m not particularly fond of Kimetsu no Yaiba as I find it a very well-animated but boring show with too many on-the-nose tropes filled with humour that lands with a complete thud to me.
What I really enjoy is analyzing things and finding out the secrets of stories through the foreshadowing, and it seems Kimetsu no Yaiba is introducing something like that now in this arc. I suspect that whatever the connection between Kokushibo and Tanjirou is likely hints at how the story will end.
I loved this first episode. I saw it in theaters and I enjoyed every second. It was a huge pleasure to see the rest of the upper demons.
