Hello everyone, hello Scott. This has been a long Monday! Not a bad one but I think I was still half in weekend mode and the work week hit me in the face. I am ready for a nap.
And you know what, this was the perfect episode for this sort of day. But before we get to that, how are you, Scott?

Hi Irina! I’m ok. I didn’t have as many issues with switching from weekend to week mode, but Mondays are always the busiest days for me because it’s really like jumping from one thing to another without any stop.
But I had a good day and I have nothing to really complain about. Decent day here and then decent day there. I’m lucky to have found some time to watch some anime and honestly, I do need that to to cool down a bit.

I don’t know how much we can talk about without spoiling the episode. It was hard to even find a post title and I mean the episode title pretty much gives it away. Ok so folks, we’re going to spoil this episode but don’t worry, it’s still fun to watch even if you know everything. In fact, I would argue it’s even more fun to watch! Wouldn’t you say?
Oh definitely. Even with spoilers on this one, it’s just great to just see how it works out. So people know what happens. I think seeing how something happens can be just as entertaining as just seeing things happen in the first place. Or you could also be like me and completely forget about spoilers minutes after readings something about it and then just enjoy it.
I noticed that Amou seems to be pretty much back to his old self. I thought they would ease us into it a bit more but then again, this wasn’t the week for him to be a bummer.
The baby he saved must have healed a lot of his soul. I don’t know if he is instantly healed, but he is definitely onto the path of finding himself again and caring for others. Maybe that is just the mental barrier Amou had to break to at least partially get back at it.
It was actually pretty fun to see the AIs working on their own and causing mischief like that. I always enjoy seeing their little scenes together but this is the first time that they were really thinking for themselves and making their own moves. I have to say, it was just amusing.
Also, they are all very expressive. I was constantly thinking how cute they were when they got all emotional and such!
I also loved the part about how people who programmed them. Especially with some small bits of Mazinger references when it comes to Gai or whatever media or feelings the others were created from. Just little touches that add so much to these AI’s personalities. It just increases and adds some interesting layers.
Now I figured out right away what was happening and honestly, I think we were supposed to. I’m not sure it was meant to be a secret from the audience. And that’s why seeing these three get all worked up and try to extract information from everyone around was pretty fun to watch. It was just relaxing.
And I have to say, it was about time that we got what is essentially a filler episode in AMAIM. It’s been heavy for a while and we all deserved a little break. This really reinvigorated the story for me. (Man I hope Scott didn’t hate it, although that would make for an interesting discussion)
(Oh don’t worry about it, I really liked it).
Ok, this is a random tangent but I wouldn’t call this a filler episode. Especially since I am one of those people who only sees filler episodes as what happens when Shonen Jump anime, or other, caught up to the manga. That’s the only way I will ever see something as filler.
So was this a filler episode? No. Did it advance any sort of story at all? Barely. But at the same time, I don’t think a stand alone episode like this is any less important than everything else. For instance, I think these characters bonding together really does add a lot to the story.
And yeah, it was fun seeing our AI pals being able to cause mischief and really push into a lot of contextual and simple things there too. I also like seeing the audience not being involved with what the characters are planning because it puts us in the place of the AI. It’s so much fun.
Unfortunately, as much as I enjoyed the episode, I’m afraid I don’t have too much to say about it. It was cute and that’s pretty much it.
However, we did get one final scene that had a bit more bite to it. Now we can see it in a few ways. Maybe we have yet another traitor in the midst, which would be devastating. But I’m an optimist, so I think that this may be the first step towards that alliance you guessed at Scott. What do you think?
Irina, I think it might be. I hope it is something else than the cast we see getting into an argument with each other and not doing anything. Brad Wyatt and the North American forces are too much of a threat for them not to at least try it. Only thing we can do now is see it.
Before we go, do you have anything to add? I’m really curious to see where that last scene takes us!
Unfortunately, I don’t have much to say. But, I really want to see where everything goes now too.
