I read most of my webcomics on webtoons but I’ll try to mix it up a little. Maybe I’ll throw in some classic webcomics in now and then just to jazz things up! But not before I tell you about High Class Homos!
Anywho, here’s the spiel: Every week, I plan to tell you guys about a webcomic I am enjoying so that maybe some of you will discover a story you like. For now, I plan to concentrate on webcomics that are posted by the author and as such completely legal to read for free over the internet.n I may eventually venture into scanslations or pay to read comics if I think something is really worth it but I wanted to give you guys some options that are easy to find and accessible to all. Since a lot of us are still spending a lot of time indoors, it’s a good time to expand our libraries a little with some new reading material.

Now that Halloween is over, I can finally tell you about High Class Homos! Don’t let the name throw you off. Or do… It’s a bit hard to explain. This comic turned out to be both completely different from what I expected after reading that title and exactly what it says.
The basic story follows a classic fairy tale prince and princess except they both happen to be gay. That’s in fact one of the reasons they struck up a friendship in the first place. And now, with mounting pressure from their families and responsibilities of the throne, they concoct this plan to marry each other while living double lives with their real lovers. Prince August and Princess Sapphia literally are the highest possible class homos.
Except that with a title like that I expected it to be crass and low-brow NSFW humour. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing bad about it. I picked up the series because that’s what I thought it was. But it’s not.

For one, it’s very wholesome. I would read this with a small kid no problemo. The relationships are pretty chaste and any physical stuff is only implied off-page. More importantly, though, the relationships are both healthy and respectful which is always great to see. So far the story has focused a bit more on Sapphia and her quest for a girlfriend. Prince August still gets his fair share of time in the spotlight though. I think there’s a lot coming up for him.
There is a wide spectrum of LGBT+ characters and some cis straight ones with roles as well. So you have really great representation that doesn’t feel forced or shoehorned in. Now the story is mostly lighthearted comedy romance. So far, High Class Homos hasn’t dwelled too much on any of the more serious and difficult issues. This said they don’t pretend these issues don’t exist either. And despite tackling things lightly, it does so with a lot of compassion and respect.

They start out very sketchy (still cute though) but gets visibly more refined as the chapters advance. It’s a hyper cartoonish, very rounded style, with a lot of soft colours. A style that fits the mood very well.
High Class Homos is ongoing with 39 chapters currently available on webtoon. I’ll be real with you, I devoured all of them in one night. And I have been dying to tell you all about it ever since. The characters were just so enjoyable and the light humour made me incapable of putting it down. So if you have been looking for a little bit of queer romance fun, you are in for a treat!

This does really appeal to me! I might pick up Webtoons ore at least this one based on this! So great job Senpai!
I do hope you like it. It’s very sweet
Sounds nice!
I liked it. It was just a nice way to unwind
This sounds like an adorable read.
It really is
As it happens, I just installed the webtoons app on my tablet and haven’t even got a list going yet. I’ll be sure and add this one! Sounds quite lovely.
Noice! Sweet little start!
I follow the artist on Insta and I love this webtoon. It’s so cute.
Oh, I didn’t think of that. Instagram and I have a strained relationship but I should go take a look!
Not sure this would be for me… still a great post though.
Fair enough. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment though!
