Ok so you all know I got embarrassingly behind on responding to award posts. Like almost 2 years behind on it which is 8impressive in a way since my blog is only a bit older than that! Hooray for me, I guess… It’s important to celebrate the little things!
I guess people got a bit fed up of me though because for a long time I stopped getting tagged. Serves me right I tell you! I’m not gonna let that happen again. Minor correction, it’s probably going to happen again, just not today!
I got three tags recently and they all happen to be from some amazing bloggers so I HAVE to answer them.
First up, the amazing Foovay! Meeting Foovay remains of the the greatest things this blog has ever done for me and I am grateful.
Foovay was nice enough to tag me in her Let’s Blog award post and she already made the David Bowie reference so obviously you have to go read it for yourself now. And you should do so right HERE
I’ve actually never been tagged for the Let’s Blog award before (I don’t think) which is very surprising.
LET’S BLOG AWARD

Let’s blog was created by Renee from Renee’s Corner! Turns out it’s not that surprising I hadn’t heard of it, since it was created on August 12… And I actually already knew that. Man once your blog turns 2, your mind really starts to go…

On to the questions we go. They’re pretty cool in fact!
- If you could live on a different planet which one, and why? Any planet is eligible, real, fictional, or imaginary.
I think one of the planets in the little prince. Maybe the one with the Emperor of the Universe. It would be just to two of us and he’s a reserved and really super reasonable guy so that’s already a big plus compared to some of the people I currently share a planet with. Also it seems like it would make it easier for me to usurp the throne. Wait did I say the quiet part out loud again.
2. If you were a Transformer – what would you be? You can pick one or make up your own.
I have actually never seen-read-listened to anything at all from the franchise. Everything I know was absorbed through cultural osmosis but I know they’re alien car robots. Can they be other stuff. Like rockets? I’d like to be a rocket transformer although I would probably end up a washing machine transformer… Kinda dizzy and not too exciting.
3. Let’s go out! What do you want to do or where do you want to go?
Already the fact that we are not staying home means we’re not doing my favourite thing so I guess might as well go to Alaska and hike through an unassuming wood with no tourists.
4. You can have any anime companion/pet/sidekick – which one and why?
Nyanko for obvious reasons and also I need to have someone I can blame the *mysterious* disappearance of the sake on.
5. What’s your favorite monster?
Oh loaded question. Stalin? Nevermind this is going to get depressing, let’s go with Yeti.
6. What is the most beautiful thing/place/experience you’ve ever seen?
Well most of it is in anime but in real life I adored the month I spend in Nose-be. It was like living inside a postcard!
7. What would you do if you suspected someone you knew was a serial killer?
Move! It’s a though one right? I wouldn’t want to accuse an innocent person and get the police involved for no reason but I also wouldn’t want to let a killer roam free. What of they killed again? Is this a romcom? Are they going to fall in love with me. Cause if they’re hot, I might be able to work with that…
8. Would you use natural healing; supplements, reiki, accupuncture, etc.

10. What really makes you happy?
More and more things with every passing year! Right now, being able to occasionally chat with Foovay through blogs and watching great anime and talking over the internet with friends!

Nora from All the Fujoshi Unite (I this we should get uniforms! It can just be t-shorts or something!) tagged me a few days ago and I got a thrill. Like I mentioned I love reading about how people started to blog so I’m always happy when this tag stats making the rounds again. You should go read about Nora’s reasons right here and just take a look at that pretty blog. Makes me want to play with my layout again.
But wait!
Weeb revues also got my back. And if you’re not following Weeb revues you should fix that! It’s sort of intimidating when people who actually now and care about writing start a blog. You know they’re bound to put out some great stuff! I’m just doing it for the lolz. But actually I’m about to tell you all about it.
Oh…oh… I was formatting this post and I got tagged again! Crazy! And by someone I was tagging as well. I’m keeping it in. I think the coincidence is just delightful. So thank you so very much Anime Good Read. You guys should go read that post for some really practical advice. I appreciate practical advice a lot. So good reads, you don’t have to do this one again but you can answer the Let’s Blog tag if you want!

So I have done this before and most of the more long time readers already know all this. Feel free to skip. I started the blog for all the usual reasons and also because I’m differently sane.
I wanted an outlet to talk about anime and possibly visual novels because they are both an important and dear part of my life. I do have friends, very few who share this hobby mind you, but despite my slanderous lies, most would be happy to patiently listen to me babble on about idol boys and talking cats. I’m the one who isn’t that interested in imposing my hobbies on them. Also, I’m a bit of an introvert (a gigantic one) and I enjoy the blog format which allows for anime socialization without having to actually be in the same room all the time.
Finally, I have the very bad habit of getting into behavioural loops. Repeating patterns that I can’t seem to break easily. A blog is a great bit of behavioural therapy for me. It’s an activity that I can do regularly without it having any huge drawbacks. The only real cost is time. Unlike exercise (where I’ve often injured myself) courses or hobbies, that have some monetary costs associated, blogging can’t really get out of hand. With a little effort I may even get better at writing which I consider a huge asset. I have been saying this for years so it might be time to let go of the dream.
And so, thinking this would be a fun lark, I made a blog. I was not at all prepared for the humbling welcome and nurturing community I discovered. Or for the simple enjoyment of putting my thoughts down on paper (well screen…you know what I mean). Had I known all of this, I would have started a blog years ago. It’s been a fantastic experience and I recommend it to anyone and everyone.

as for my second piece of advice. I would rather let smarter folks chime in! Congrats on the awards! As for your washing machine Transformer, now I’m just picturing you as the Pokemon Rotom in his washing machine form.
Great advice. “Try not to break their heart.” It’s a hard thing to do because I have a short fused when my point don’t get across. I guess it’s partially being raised with two annoying brothers.
There’s something to be said for passion. I could use more of it myself.
I wish I can give some to you so I don’t wake up in the middle of the night to revise my blog post. At this rate I might die from a heart attack. 🙂

Usually, when someone comments on my blog I can click their name to take me to their blog. Like I can with most people on this post. But unfortunately, I can’t with yours. Usually it means that you haven’t added or selected your blog on your account but there may be another issue.
Don’t worry about it too much though. You have a great blog which is what’s going to make it grow!
You are too nice! Sorry you can’t access it. I tested it out on a mock site and it works. But I guess making site look pretty might make a difference, although that require more work lol. Having a few loyal readers would make me happy. I am not too worry about it growing big.

As for a rocket transformer: there was one: Omega Supreme! There’s even a space shuttle transformer as well😊. No washing machine transformers though 😊
I’m getting a goof lesson on transformer lore today. Honestly I’ve always been interested but there’s always something else that comes up, you know.
Haha…I know exactly what you mean😊😊 There’s only so many hours a day, and you can’t watch everything. Hey, I know nothing about Pokemon for instance…well except for that one yellow bird thingi…Pickachu I believe he is called? So I wouldn’t worry about it to much😂😂

If you ever wander into Alaska, let me know! I live in a super small place, but the fishing is great. More tundra and bog here than woods…… We also have three types of bloodsucking insects. If you have ever seen the film African Queen (starring Katherine Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart), you can get a picture of what our bugs can get like.

I actually grew up mostly in Africa so I’m pretty familiar with menacing insects and living wrapped up in mosquito netting to avoid malaria. Fortunately I also don’t attract bugs much. It could be a combination of slightly lower than average body temp and ultra pale complexion. I just don’t look that tasty to them…
I can totally see you as a washing machine.. with a cat pouring some Saké into your suds and detergent ..and then finishing the bottle himself!

I use to keep up with them but then it snowballed and eventually people stopped tagging me. Can’t blame them. I do enjoy a good tag once in a while. It’s a nice way to get to know people.
