Man, I have been out of the nomination post game for a while! That honestly makes me sad. I’m one of the few bloggers that really enjoys nomination posts and of course, the less you respond, the less you get tagged.
These things are rough to keep up with though. If you’re not careful, you’re like 50 behind before you know it. I’ve made and failed at keeping this promise before, but I’m going to really try to get through a few this year.
As such, I’ve chosen to start off with this wonderful tag I’ve been itching to answer: Ospreyshire’s Blogging Chums Award .
Not only is this an absolutely adorable name, but it’s also a very endearing idea. Osprey does a great job with it too so Go read that post! Thank you so much for this nomination Osprey. It’s a very sweet tag and it made me happy to write it
This logo for the award was created at Dressing to Impress and the award itself was created by beams19 at Crave the Unknown.
Here are the rules:
“This may seem like a bit of an odd award but I think it’s so important to tell the people closest to us how much we care about them, and in a world that is so full of hate and division, it’s the little things we do that can help make a big impact – so go tell someone you love them!
This award isn’t compulsory by any means but if you decide to take part, it would mean the world to me. I wonder if there will ever be a day when I’m scrolling through WordPress Reader and I see the Blogging Chum Award floating around on other blogs!”
The Rules:
- Be sure to use the award image!
- List the rules & about paragraph!
- Thank whoever nominated you!
- Write a letter to someone who means a lot to you to spread some positivity around the Internet – anyone will do!
- Nominate 5 more people for the award and go let them know about it in their comments!
I’m not sure if he’ll see this but I’m going to write a little letter to Raistlin903. I’m sure a lot(all) of you already know Raistlin and as such, you know that he’s taking a very well-deserved vacation from blogging. Like all of you, I also miss him a bit so I’m going to write him a short letter.
Dear Raistlin,
I hope you are not fed up with all the letters I write you. It seems to have become a hobby of mine. But it’s your fault really. You’re the one that had to be unwaveringly supportive and encouraging in all things. You’re the one that shared his awesome cool personality with us, making us all fall for you. Of course, a little blogger like me never stood a chance. How am I supposed not to be impressed by a guy who makes me sound like a pessimist? How should I avoid looking up to a man who manage to ward off negativity in both comments and posts no matter how cruel the internet got or ho harsh the real world was treating you? Naturally, I was going to be in awe. Now, take responsibility!
The simple truth of the matter is that people like you make the cold, occasionally scary, virtual landscape of our brave new world, that much more hospitable. Who would ever have thought to turn to internet comments for comfort or to blog posts for motivation? It seems like a contradiction in fact. Yet anyone who has ever had the pleasure to cross your digital path surely feels that way.
So, thank you for being a little ray of sunshine to warm us all. I hope you are having a wonderful start to 2019 and that it slowly gets better from here.
Hugs
I

You know, there’s something deeply cathartic about writing thank you letters. Or maybe I just get some deep enjoyment out of embarrassing Raistlin. Either way, it felt really good to get all of this out.
Now for my most dreaded part of any tag post, the nominations. Because there are rules and I need to follow them, here are my 5 nominations:
But I bet there’s someone out there you have considered thanking at some point. Someone who’s made a change in your life and may not even have realized it. We get wrapped up in our lives and miss out on opportunities to say thank you. The thing is, thank yous are just as much for the person saying them as the person receiving them. So even if I haven’t tagged you, don’t hesitate to take this opportunity to write your own post on the subject. I bet it will be great!
On an unrelated note – I find that I drastically prefer to do episode reviews collaboratively so if you’re up for that – please let me know!
This post feels me with so much positivity and love. So wholesome. (T^T) Thanks for the tag Irina! It’ll be the first one I’ve ever done and I’ll be sure to write it for today’s post. It’ll be short. #NoStress #NoLongerANominationTagVirgin
Ohhh I’m honored to be a first!!!
A wonderful read and his positivity is such a blessing!
More than agreed!
Thank you for the nomination, Irina! The thoughts behind the tag is nice. 😀
I hope I’ll be able to do this one. Of the tags I received last year, I was only able to do one (the 3 days, 3 quotes one), but the others, I wasn’t able to do. OTL
Anyhow, if ever I fail to whip up the post, I want to take this opportunity to say thank you for sharing your wonderful insights about various topics, may that be about anime or the blogging community. You’re an inspiration! :>
Awwww. Well this is the sweetest thing ever. No pressure, if you get around to it then great!
I admit this made me tear up…
aww Chizue – Hug
You are not the only one 😊😊
Thanks for the tag! Though I have no idea how I’m going to meet the bar you just set!
I have a feeling you’ll do just fine
Hey, thanks for the nomination. Since I’m trying to get the year off on a positive start and to keep it going that way, I’m happy to take part in it. And I look forward to Raistlin coming back as well – I’ve read some of his posts, and he’s always got an interesting take on things.
I look forward to your own post – I’m sure it will be lovely
Thank you so much….that is very kind of you to say😊😊 I will do my best to get my health back in working order and make a return here 😊😊
Wow…..you do know that I’m slowly beginning to run out of ways to say thank you right? But you probably also know that I am not one to back out of a challenge, so I’m going to give it a try in this comment anyway 😊
I find it funny that you started the letter with saying that you hope I am not fed up with these letters: dear Irina, how could I ever get fed up with something as truly heartwarming as this. I’ll be the first to admit that life at the moment for me isn’t a real picnic. My own health currently is definitely not as it should be (I hope to receive results for the test I have had taken on friday and hopefully a way to finally beat this), and my father is also currently not the way he should be (his back again). That said, throughout all this I try to keep my head up. I’m a naturally optimistic guy, but there are currently definitely days that it’s hard for me to try and keep that optimism going.
And then I read something as beautiful and kind as this, and for the second time this week, you bring me to tears (and I assure you these are happy tears again). This post did more for me than just make me smile. It just makes me realise only more that with friends like you, days are always going to be very bright. Now, I will try and take that responsibity you speak of (and of course be embarassed and blushing all over the place right now), but I hope you will do the same. Because don’t try to downgrade how much of an incredible person you truly are. This post was amazing….and I will make you this promise: As soon as I’m back in working order with my health, I will try to be here again as much as I can. In the meantime, you will still see me around occasionally. Dear Irina thank you so much for these amazing words…..I wish wordpress would allow in some way to give voice comments on posts. In that way I might probably have been able to express this thank you a bit better, but I hope I still managed to get it across anyway 😊
Well, this comment almost became a letter in itself I guess…but hey as I said, I never try to back out of a challenge 😊 Thank you…thank you…thank you. Hug, Michel❤️
Michel – you have so many friends here. If you ever need anything don’t forget to ask us! It will make us happy
Thank you so much: I will. Just as long as you know that goes both ways. No matter what is going on in my life, I’m always here for my friends 😊😊
Lovely letter. I hope he’s doing well. Miss his film reviews! Always a lovely guy to chat with on here.
I completely agree. I hope he realizes that the goodwill he has around wordpress was hard earned and completely deserved
Absolutely. He’s one of the genuinely nice folk I’ve come across. Wish him all the happiness in the world, lord knows he deserves some.
All this praise is seriously making my face as red as a tomato. Thank you for the kind words: And like wise for sure 😊😊
Good to see you about. Hope all is going as well as it can.
They could definitely be better, not going to lie there, but I’m hanging in there 😊😊
Thanks for accepting the award! That letter was also very heartwarming. I know Raistlin will appreciate it.
I hope so
I’m sure he will. It was very well-written, too.
Well, I think I made it pretty clear, that I appreciated it 😊😊(at least…now I hope so….😅😅)
Hahaha! I knew you would. 😀
You did!
Yay🎉🎉😊
He definitely did 😊😊
