I actually started DICE very recently. It’s a fairly long webtoon, seems it has been publishing since 2014. So I can’t really vouch for how the story unfolds but the premise really grabbed me.
So welcome to my new feature! Every week, I plan to tell you guys about a webcomic I am enjoying so that maybe some of you will discover a story you like. For now, I plan to concentrate on webcomics that are posted by the author and as such completely legal to read for free over the internet.n I may eventually venture into scanslations or pay to read comics if I think something is really worth it but I wanted to give you guys some options that are easy to find and accessible to all. Since a lot of us are still spending a lot of time indoors, it’s a good time to expand our libraries a little with some new reading material.

This is the official summary of DICE:
What if you can restart your life with a different setting just like a game? DONG TAE always get bullied by his classmates, but TAE BIN, sits right next to him, is handsome and popular at school; and now, TAE BIN suggests DONG TAE to play a little game.
Sounds cool right? Like there’s a bit of reZero in there with the starting over the aspect and maybe some Liar’s Game cause things are obviously not what they seem. I just really like windy stories that keep you on your toes and have you wondering what’s going to happen next!

So far, DICE is a bit uneven but it’s getting better and the universe just sucks me in. It’s not only that I wonder what’s going to happen next, but it’s also that I can’t wait to know what happens next. It’s a nice change of pace when I want something more exciting and mysterious!
Since I read a lot more lighthearted and fun webtoons, to have one that sucks you into this mystery and action. I’m sort of curious, have any of you read DICE? If so, did you like it? If not, feel free to start right here!

Is it essentially a D&D setup kind of thing?
Well there isn’t that much in the way of fantasy elements. Like not much D or D, unless both Ds stand for dice in this case
Thanks for clearing that up
I’ve read DICE and I’m basically caught up. It does get even better.
That’s good to know!
I read the first 3 ch it looks fun! Thank you Irina!
My pleasure!
Yes! I binged on Dice sometime last year and it was really good! It had a slow start, but my friend told me that it would get so much better, and it actually did! I haven’t caught up with few of the recent chapters, but it was definitely worth the read!!
Î don’t mind the slow start myself but it does ramp up
I stopped reading Dice around 3 years ago at its latest chapter, but I remembered it being quite exciting! Especially back then when the concept of characters abruptly entering game-like worlds and game-like situations were hot topics.
“The Gamer” is another similarly fun webtoon with the whole game-like setting of leveling-up and superpower part of Dice, but that’s more toned down and with less edge (killings etc). Kinda like a regular shonen anime. You could check that out if you haven’t already!
Thanks for the tip
I really like this webtoon, but I felt like the last 20 or so chapters got abit slow, but the recent 3 have picked up the pace, so I’m happy about that!
I’m not quite up to date, I’m looking forward to it
