Eleceed – Webtoon Recommendation

I have a really fun one for you guys this week. If you haven’t heard of Eleceed yet that is. I hope this webtoon gets adopted soon, cause it’s full of potential.

So welcome to my new feature! Every week, I plan to tell you guys about a webcomic I am enjoying so that maybe some of you will discover a story you like. For now, I plan to concentrate on webcomics that are posted by the author and as such completely legal to read for free over the internet.n I may eventually venture into scanslations or pay to read comics if I think something is really worth it but I wanted to give you guys some options that are easy to find and accessible to all. Since a lot of us are still spending a lot of time indoors, it’s a good time to expand our libraries a little with some new reading material.

I have a soft spot for action comedies with criminal elements and for buddy stories. I also really like series that feature ornery talking cats… cough… sensei… cough. What I’m saying here is that Jeho Son and artist ZHENA decided to write a webtoon just for me and I ain’t complaining! Not at all!

In short, Eleceed is about sweet guy Jiwoo who’s a kid with really amazing reflexes. He has a sort of modest superhero thing going on. Saving the world one good deed at a time. But one day he runs into Kayden. A gruff and experienced secret agent on the run. Also a big orange cat! And this is the start of a new goofy hero odd couple that is going to save us all if they don’t kill each other first!

‘Cmon, how fun does that sound! I thought it sounded uber fun. And I was right!

I actually discovered this comic (although I think it’s already super popular) when I looked up the author Jeho Son. I am having a blast with the Noblesse adaptation (writing this in mid-November, in case the series goes downhill) so I checked out the webtoon. I discovered that the author had written another action comedy and I decided to seek it out. One look at the summary had me sold!

Since Noblesse already got an adaptation I’m hoping Eleceed is also a viable choice as I think it would look really good animated with all the action scenes. On top of it all, I really like the character designs. You can start reading Eleceed right here

I'm much nicer than I seem, we should be friends!

  1. Eleceed is definitely one of my favourite weekly reads on Webtoon. I kinda read it before trying out Noblesse and between the two, I find myself preferring Eleceed. It took me after three chapters to get into it but I’m glad I continued reading it.

Jiwoo really is such a precious cinnamon roll. I love his interactions with the characters in the manhwa and all the cats.
