Anime Winter 2019 – Week 10 Roundup!

Just like there’s been a steep drop off in anime reviews, I’ve notice that the interest in these round up posts has similarly cooled. I’m not blaming you. Obviously not you who are reading this right now, you guys rock extra hard. But even those of you that are gone, I understand!

However, this has made me seriously question whether I should bother continuing these posts next season. They are a lot of work but I don’t dislike doing them exactly but they take a lot longer to put together than most posts and I have to write them  a tight schedule.

The again, I have discovered some fantastic blogs through this so…worth it! And there’s something fascinating about seeing how our community ebbs and flows. Losing interest in some titles while picking up others. In a way, I’m doing these posts because I’m really curious about the outcome. I have some thinking to do.

Hmmm, things seem to have settled down, or evened out. Basically this week seems pretty much the same as last week. But it isn’t the same. These are entirely different links!

I’ve noticed that the readers search function is not exactly perfect. I had favourited some posts throughout the week that I could not find again tonight so I’m pretty sure I missed a lot of posts. But I am doing my best.

Besides, ou should have enough material here to fill up your afternoon.

All signs are pointed to The Promised Neverland winning the popularity vote this season but I’m looking forward to Karandi’s post. I often have serious misconceptions about what people are enjoying in anime.

I do hope you enjoyed this post and I wish you all a great weekend!

I’d be surprised if Neverland didn’t make the top 3 in any popularity poll this season. Other contenders are Mob Psycho 100, Dororo, and especially Kaguya sama. (Being popular to write about isn’t always the same as being popular to watch, though, so there’s always that last bit of unpredictability.)

I’m surprisingly in line with the popular opinion this season (except that I tend to like Neverland less than… just about everyone? – I still like it a lot, though).

And just in case you’re wondering: I’m still watching Colourful Pastrale, and it’s as charmingly inept as ever.

Finally, Price of Smiles just ended, and I still don’t know what to think of it.

I’m also looking forward to finding out what wins the readers choice vote. If the past polls are anything to go by it is usually something I didn’t watch because it was on Amazon or something I dropped because it wasn’t a genre I liked however we’ll see what wins out this season.

  3. As always, thanks for the mention! ❤️
I always enjoy reading your posts and look forwards to them whenever new ones come out!

I wouldn’t blame you for not wanting to continue doing this into the next season. But I’m sure smaller bloggers, such as myself for example, are hugely appreciative of the attention that comes from a plug on your blog.

Even if I’m guilty of falling off the wagon myself in terms of updates.

It’s one of the things about the anime blogging community that has made me consider just focusing on Anime all the time, it’s how supportive of one another you all are.

Thanks for doing this, during the winter season. I’m already getting shivers thinking about how daunting a task this will be once again when the new season begins.

Leave me a comment and make my day!
