You guys remember when I use to pretend to review anime? Yeah, me either…
Boys and girls, I need your help. I’ve been kicking around this idea for a project for some time now and I want your input.
Back when I started this little blog, in the olden days of last July, I was pretty lost in this brave new blogging world. I really would have appreciated some type of kiddie pool to get my toes wet before jumping in. I know now that you’re clearly all the bestest and undisputed sweethearts but at the time, it was a little scary.
Furthermore, I am lucky enough to have some free time and debatable priorities so I get the chance to read a lot of your posts and discover all sorts of new blogs. This is a privilege that precious few have and I’m sure we all end up missing out on wonderful content because we simply didn’t know it existed.

At this point, you might be wondering why I am babbling on about obvious stuff. Well, this is my idea: I basically want to put together a platform of sorts to help smaller and newer aniblogs join in the community.
Every month, I would like to feature a new blogger and help get their content out there for more people to enjoy and this is how I propose going about it:
I have arbitrarily decided that “new” means a blog that was created less than 2 months ago and “small” means one with less than 50 followers. I’m inviting any bloggers that fall into either category to submit a post they happen to be proud of here, or use my contact page. It doesn’t matter if it’s an old post or something that hasn’t been published yet. I will pick one and write a post on my own blog to promote it. These posts will go up on the last Friday of every month and stay pinned on my home page until the next one is published. That’s all. Simple right?

So where do you come in? Essentially wherever you like.
Firstly, I would sincerely appreciate your thoughts on and suggestions for this venture. Don’t hesitate to tell me if you think it can be done better.
Secondly, I would be your best friend should you want to participate. So spread the word by sharing this post or writing your own. Share the chosen monthly posts on your own blogs (again you can use my posts, copy paste them if you want, or create your own). If you discover someone who you think should be featured, then you should urge them to sign up.
Finally, if you want to take part in the selection process and help me vet submissions, please let me know. More people being involved in this step will assure a more balanced selection and more interesting posts for everyone.

Karandi, who you all know from 100 Word Anime, has very generously offered to help out with this. As she is such a force to be reckoned with, I am very grateful for her help and would like to thank her again.
I’ve also managed to blackmail convince Remy from The Lily Garden to pitch in. (Actually he offered right away – the man is made out of sunshine).
I was thinking of picking a first post for the end of November (the 24th), and I would consider any submission received before November 21st. Hopefully, I can get one before then…
I’m sorry guys, I don’t have a drinking game for this one but feel free to have a beer as you’re reading.
Thank you all,
i
Oooh Just came across this while reading through Auri’s posts. And I got to her Blog through your re-post. It’s all a cycle, I tell you. But anyway, I’m fairly new to blogging and I see you liking my posts very often. Thank you very much for that! And this is a really great initiative- if you’re still doing this, that is. I don’t even know how to properly use WordPress at the moment, much less have a post I’m proud of. But when I will have such a post, I think I’ll need a blogwarming party!! 😀
I am still doing it and I would love to feature one of your posts. Don’t worry too much about being “proud” of it – everybody tends to be way to hard on themselves (for what it’s worth, as you’ve noticed – I like your posts)
Also – discovering Auri through my blog is awesome!
I will, I will. I have a few ideas that I want to post and once I figure out how everything works, I’ll reach out to you. Once again, I really feel this is a great thing that you’re doing. Honestly, this isn’t what I expected. Everyone is helping each other out, there are bloggers (Auri) reaching out to people out there- it all makes me really happy! I expected blogging to be something one dimensional- you blog and people read, but this is so much more than that. Really, I’m amazed.
Oh the community is amazing – half my posts are basically just saying that…
