I always get a real thrill out of being included in any blog community event. So you can imagine how ecstatic I was about finally being recognized as a hottie! It cheered me up to no ends… What do you mean that’s not what this is?

I’m pretty sure Raist also thought he was nominating me as a hottie when he included me in the list. I saw the other noms and clearly, all hotties. That can’t be a coincidence…

The Five Hotties
Once I finally figured out what I was supposed to be doing here, I sat down and thought long and hard about my wide ranging anime harem. Then I went to buy a new keyboard. Apparently there’s only so much drool these things can take before they stop working. Don’t worry though, my sacrifice paid off. After a lot of time and effort, I was finally able to whittle down my list to…78. I guess I’m going to have to make some tough decisions here.
First, I’m going to get rid of those that are just pretty faces. If the only redeeming quality you have (or that I am aware of) is your pretty face then you don’t make the list. I still love you, I just don’t want to tell others about it. Second, these are hotties from Movies and Television, so if you’re originally from a game, we’ll probably have a post for that at some point. Finally, I’m going to ignore those characters I’m madly in love with but that aren’t necessarily classically pretty (I think brains are hawt – OK!). Now, let me just randomly draw 5 from the 82 or so left.How did that number get bigger? I have a problem you guys…
Let’s get this out of the way Asuka from Sound Euphonium is basically sex on legs and I would buy her a car on a first date. But since Shoka already recognized her here, I don’t need to go over it again.
Atsushi Murasakibara
Pretty much 90% of all characters in all sports anime would probably be eligible here (have I mentioned that I am a fan of the genre…), but I always had a soft spot for KnB. It’s the one I seem to go back to most and I always enjoy it. As many anibloggers can attest, there is an embarrassment of riches when it comes to hotties in this show but my heart goes out to Murasakibara.
I am pretty short in real life and tend to favour people who aren’t too tall. It avoids neck pain. I also am a big fan of jokers. Anyone easy with a smile and generous with a laugh is sure to capture my attention. So naturally, giant mopey Atsushi was completely irresistible!
Su-chi (we’re close!) is the personification of a lovable lug. He’s enormous, completely spoiled, naturally talented at just about everything and extremely childish. He’s almost never lost at anything and when he does, he takes it very very badly. An easily manipulatable giant baby with a bad temper, he is nevertheless often kind, cares a lot about his friends and can be tamed with a handful of sweets, like all adorable animals. He also doesn’t strike me as too clingy even though doujin would have me believe he’s the jealous type, I mean doujin what is that even?
Himura Kenshin
Rurouni Kenshin was one of the very first anime I watched and Himura was my first Husbando. You know what they say…You never forget your first! If you don’t know why Kenshin is a hottie worthy of acclaim, go watch the series right now. The worst thing about this guy is that his perfection isn’t even annoying…
Aside from being a deeply honorable, gentle but skilled swordsman, he also happens to be just so freakin beautiful. Red headed samurais were really very rare, you have to give him points for striking as well. A docile shell of a monster, he sports both some substantial survivor’s guilt and an impressive hero complex, pretty much guaranteeing he will take good care of me without expecting anything in return.
He also has a fantastic voice actress. I tend to be extremely fond of adult male characters played by female voice actresses and Kenshin is the reason why. I have some elaborate fantasies featuring that voice alone!
Kazane Kagari
The current head of the Workshop Witches and a veteran of the great Crusades, Kazane has nothing left to prove and isn’t about to waste her time earning your approval anyways. Chain-smoking, hard living, violent and short-tempered, she is the very picture of everybody’s dream woman.
The fact is, Kazane can and does take care of business. She isn’t about to crack under pressure or let anyone get hurt on her watch. C’mon, obviously that’s hot. Also look at her! And the fact that she seems receptive to other ladies’ charms isn’t a bad thing either – I like to know I have a shot.
Kazane has earned a few, shall we say colourful, nicknames in her day: “Dragon Tooth,” “Torturer,” and most infamously, “Bad End.” and I would really like to know how!
The Entire Cast of The Royal Tutor
I don’t remember all their names – the redhead is Heine and and that long haired Adonis is Licht, but these boys don’t need names. Besides it’s not like there’s enough blood left in my brain to retain names…
Look at these glorious blonde pin up poster boys. They’re ALL princes too. When I reviewed this show I called it a bishie brochette. I also had limited brain blood flow at the time, but I stand by it.
You may think that choosing the entire cast is cheating. I don’t care. I cannot, will not you can’t make me unchoose one. They are all favorite and because they also all happen to be unbelievably sweet, they won’t mind sharing. I smell burned toast.
Integra Wingates Hellsing
Oh don’t pretend to be surprised. We all knew it. What can I say about my cherished Lady Hellsing that I haven’t already. Another supreme example of a completely put together, self-assured and incomparably capable woman, Integra is the epitome of feminine strength. Is there anything more impressive than someone who feels zero need to impress you.
At age 11, still grieving the loss of her father, newly orphaned Integra stood before her own uncle and wrested control of the Hellsing organisation from his cold dead hands. Not because she seeked power or fortune but because it was her responsibility. She bears the type of steely conviction that can only come from birthright and bares her burdens with unflinching grace.
I would not recommend you stand in her way.
I would very much like to find myself in her way.
