I drink and watch anime

There was no Tsurune this week so Here’s a Wonderful Tag and a bit about Raistlin

Man, I have been out of the nomination post game for a while! That honestly makes me sad. I’m one of the few bloggers that really enjoys nomination posts and of course, the less you respond, the less you get tagged.

These things are rough to keep up with though. If you’re not careful, you’re like 50 behind before you know it. I’ve made and failed at keeping this promise before, but I’m going to really try to get through a few this year.

As such, I’ve chosen to start off with this wonderful tag I’ve been itching to answer:  Ospreyshire’s Blogging Chums Award .

Not only is this an absolutely adorable name, but it’s also a very endearing idea. Osprey does a great job with it too so Go read that post! Thank you so much for this nomination Osprey. It’s a very sweet tag and it made me happy to write it

This logo for the award was created at Dressing to Impress and the award itself was created by beams19 at Crave the Unknown.

Here are the rules:

“This may seem like a bit of an odd award but I think it’s so important to tell the people closest to us how much we care about them, and in a world that is so full of hate and division, it’s the little things we do that can help make a big impact – so go tell someone you love them!

This award isn’t compulsory by any means but if you decide to take part, it would mean the world to me. I wonder if there will ever be a day when I’m scrolling through WordPress Reader and I see the Blogging Chum Award floating around on other blogs!”

The Rules:

  1. Be sure to use the award image!
  2. List the rules & about paragraph!
  3. Thank whoever nominated you!
  4. Write a letter to someone who means a lot to you to spread some positivity around the Internet – anyone will do!
  5. Nominate 5 more people for the award and go let them know about it in their comments!

I’m not sure if he’ll see this but I’m going to write a little letter to Raistlin903. I’m sure a lot(all) of you already know Raistlin and as such, you know that he’s taking a very well-deserved vacation from blogging. Like all of you, I also miss him a bit so I’m going to write him a short letter.

Dear Raistlin,

I hope you are not fed up with all the letters I write you. It seems to have become a hobby of mine. But it’s your fault really. You’re the one that had to be unwaveringly supportive and encouraging in all things. You’re the one that shared his awesome cool personality with us, making us all fall for you. Of course, a little blogger like me never stood a chance. How am I supposed not to be impressed by a guy who makes me sound like a pessimist? How should I avoid looking up to a man who manage to ward off negativity in both comments and posts no matter how cruel the internet got or ho harsh the real world was treating you? Naturally, I was going to be in awe. Now, take responsibility!

The simple truth of the matter is that people like you make the cold, occasionally scary, virtual landscape of our brave new world, that much more hospitable. Who would ever have thought to turn to internet comments for comfort or to blog posts for motivation? It seems like a contradiction in fact. Yet anyone who has ever had the pleasure to cross your digital path surely feels that way.

So, thank you for being a little ray of sunshine to warm us all. I hope you are having a wonderful start to 2019 and that it slowly gets better from here.

Hugs

I

one sided hug is the only way I hug!

You know, there’s something deeply cathartic about writing thank you letters. Or maybe I just get some deep enjoyment out of embarrassing Raistlin. Either way, it felt really good to get all of this out.

Now for my most dreaded part of any tag post, the nominations. Because there are rules and I need to follow them, here are my 5 nominations:

But I bet there’s someone out there you have considered thanking at some point. Someone who’s made a change in your life and may not even have realized it. We get wrapped up in our lives and miss out on opportunities to say thank you. The thing is, thank yous are just as much for the person saying them as the person receiving them. So even if I haven’t tagged you, don’t hesitate to take this opportunity to write your own post on the subject. I bet it will be great!

On an unrelated note – I find that I drastically prefer to do episode reviews collaboratively so if you’re up for that – please let me know!
